Compared two AI code reviewers for 2 months, one caught a bug that saved our launch
I run a small dev team in Austin and we tried out both GitHub Copilot's review feature and a tool called Codacy for about 60 days each. Copilot was faster but it kept suggesting the same style tweaks over and over, felt like it was padding. Codacy flagged a race condition in our payment retry logic that would've hit users during a sale weekend, and that alone made it worth the $30 per month per user. Has anyone else found that the more boring, slower AI reviewer ends up catching the real problems while the flashy one just gives you busywork?
