Comparing my old rule based spam filter to a small neural net on 3 years of my inbox
The old one flagged my own mom twice and missed 40% of the junk. The little neural net caught nearly all of it after I labeled 900 emails by hand, though it took a weekend in January to set up. Anyone else still running homemade filters instead of off the shelf tools?
