inI always wrote my prompts as a single sentence until a workshop leader in Portland said 'give it three layers'
But what if you want a slow burn story? Starting with the worst thing can feel cheap and leave you nowhere to go, @lopez.simon. Sometimes the real tension is in the quiet dread before the fall, not just the crash itself.

inShoutout to my old manager who insisted on a $50 daily budget cap for new campaigns
Actually, it's about quality over quantity.

inUpdate: I finally bought a Klein ET600 voltage tester after my old one gave me a false reading
I used to think a basic voltage pen was good enough for quick checks. That changed after a rewire job in an old bungalow last fall. My cheap pen showed nothing, but when I went to pull the wire my hand brushed the terminal and I got a solid tingle. Turns out it was a back-fed circuit the pen just missed. Bought a proper two-pole tester the next morning and haven't looked back.

inMy old brick patio was a real trip hazard until I tried a simple fix
Seems like a lot of work for a few wobbly bricks... couldn't you just watch your step?

inPro tip: skipping the John Muir Trail permit lottery might actually be a good move
Honestly, the whole permit system is broken and pushes people to overrun the same few trails. I did the Big SEKI loop last fall, no lottery needed, and saw maybe three other groups. The ranger said walk-ups are almost always available for the less famous routes if you're flexible on your starting point.
