Serious question, I toured a bakery in Portland and their cake decorator is basically a robot arm now
I was in Portland two weeks ago for a wedding and the couple booked a tour at a small bakery that runs a robotic arm for piping. The thing does 40 cakes a shift with the same swirl pattern and never gets tired, while the human decorator just does the custom stuff on top. What got me was the owner saying their waste dropped because the arm measures frosting to the gram every time. Is anyone here using small robot arms for repetitive food work, and did the setup cost ever actually pay off for you?
