My sister told me my air fryer chicken was too dry and I finally fixed it

Honestly, she said it tasted like jerky, which was pretty harsh. I was just cooking boneless thighs at 400 for 15 minutes, flipping once. She told me to try a quick brine in salty water for just 20 minutes before patting them dry. I did that yesterday, same time and temp, and the difference was crazy. The meat was actually juicy inside. Has anyone else tried brining for air fryer chicken, or got another simple trick?
