The $15 silicone liners finally made my air fryer cleanup bearable

After 6 months of scrubbing that basket every single night, I grabbed a pack of those round silicone liners on a whim and now the grease just wipes off. Has anyone else noticed their food comes out less crispy with the liner in, or is it just me?

Try poking a few small holes in the liner with a fork before you drop the food in. I was having the same mushy problem for weeks, then I read that tip somewhere and it actually helped a lot. Also make sure your air fryer is fully preheated before you put anything in, that makes a bigger difference than I thought it would. For stuff like chicken wings or fries, I'll still skip the liner sometimes and use it mainly for things that drip a lot. But honestly, the cleanup tradeoff is worth it for most meals.
