Just realized I spent 11 hours chasing a fuel leak that turned out to be a loose B-nut
Last month I had a 172 in the shop for a fuel smell that I swore was coming from the wing root, so I pulled panels and pressure tested the tanks twice over two days. Turned out one B-nut on the fuel line behind the firewall was just finger tight, and I felt like a rookie for missing it on the first pass. How do you guys handle it when a simple fix hides behind a big symptom?
