That one comment about my shutter cleaning technique still sticks with me

I had a client back in 2017 who swore by pushing hard on his sensor swabs. He got perfect results every time, no streaks, no dust, nothing. He used a single swab with a specific amount of solution and just jammed it into the corners. He owned a camera repair shop and said my lighter method was wasting money on extra swabs. I tried his way once on a junk sensor and it worked fine. So your feedback might be good for you, but it's not the only way. Some people just have a heavy hand that works.

Spent 3 years paying $15 in ATM fees every week before I realized my bank had free withdrawals at 7-Eleven

Oh wow, that is rough. But I gotta say, I think you might have your math a little off there. If you were paying $15 a week, that's not standard ATM fees, that's basically robbery. Most ATMs charge like $3 to $5 max, plus whatever your own bank hits you with. So either you were using some really fancy ATM or you meant $15 a month maybe? Anyway, it's good you finally caught on because those little fees add up fast. My bank does the same thing with CVS ATMs and it took me forever to notice too.

Hot take: Carbon dating isnt as reliable as everyone thinks it is

Exactly this. When I was studying geology back in 2012, we had a sample from a peat bog that gave three different dates from three different labs. The calibration curves were the main issue, just like your uncle saw. Tree rings and carbon dating don't always line up, and that 400 year gap you mentioned is pretty common in certain time periods.

My neighbor's one comment saved my sourdough starter from the trash

WAIT three MONTHS??? Girl you are a warrior, I would have thrown that jar out the window after like week two and bought some instant yeast. Mrs. Garcia sounds like a sourdough saint honestly, I had a similar moment when my starter got all liquidy and someone told me to stop using tap water, switched to bottled and it was like magic.
