Had a chat with my nephew about One Piece pacing" - that kid gets it. I dropped off around episode 500 because I just couldn't deal with the filler anymore. My buddy swears the manga is where it's at, but I'm too stubborn to switch mediums at this point. Your mileage may vary, but I think cutting some arcs would make the whole show way more watchable.

You ever notice how even the simple stuff is getting the same treatment? My local coffee shop now pushes out drinks in like 30 seconds flat, but half the time they forget the oat milk or the foam is all wrong. @nancygrant you nailed it with the One Piece example, shows aren't even allowed to breathe anymore, they just cram in extra content to keep you subscribed. Same with music albums dropping 20 songs when 10 good ones would do. Makes you wonder if anybody's actually enjoying the ride or just trying to finish the checklist.
