The animation quality drop in season 3 of that show is wild
I went back and watched season 1 last week after finishing season 3 and it's like two completely different studios worked on it. Season 3 has these weird static shots during fight scenes that just hold for like 4 seconds. Anyone else notice this with long running series?

The "four second hold" thing actually worked for me in episode 7, where they used it to show how exhausted the main character was after that long chase. I get why people call it a budget thing but sometimes those pauses let the emotional weight of a scene really sink in. Different doesn't always mean worse is my take.
