Warning: stopping a rewatch mid-arc to 'check one clip' on YouTube is a trap, spent 4 hours on filler compilations last Saturday

Used to be I could just pause an episode, look something up, and come right back. But after Crunchyroll added that picture-in-picture thing on my phone, I started drifting. Last weekend I was on episode 7 of a 12 episode series and wanted to double check if a certain character's eye color matched the manga. Next thing I know it's midnight and I've watched 14 different 'top 10 betrayals' videos and a 45 minute breakdown of a side character who only showed up twice. My queue was still on the same episode. Now I have to physically put my phone in the other room before I press play, or I set a 15 minute timer on my watch. Does anyone else have this issue with short form clips pulling you out of longer shows, or is it just me? How do you guys stay locked in?

The 15 minute timer trick works, I do that too after losing whole evenings to clip rabbit holes.
