Watched a tech in Fort Worth fix a dryer with a paint stirrer and it stuck with me
Stopped by a buddy's shop off Vickery Blvd last month to drop off some parts and watched him diagnose a no-heat dryer in about 4 minutes flat. Instead of pulling the whole drum he used a wooden paint stirrer to hold the door switch down while he metered the thermal fuse, said he learned it from a guy with 30 years in the trade. I've been doing it that way ever since and it's saved me at least 10 minutes on every call. Anybody else got little tricks like that they picked up from watching someone else work?
