Hot take: a guy at the BSides Austin badge table talked me out of buying a scanner in 10 minutes
He asked what I was actually trying to find and when I said "whatever's exposed" he just laughed and handed me a free subdomain wordlist instead. Has anyone else had a conference stranger save them from a tool purchase they didn't need?
