Rope wrench vs mechanical prusik for removals

Been running a rope wrench on a 200ft spruce removal last week and it was way smoother than the mechanical prusik I used before. Less fighting the friction hitch and my groundie noticed the difference in descent control too. Anyone else switch and never look back?

That 200ft spruce sounds like a beast, and honestly I felt the same way after my first week with the wrench. I still catch myself fumbling with the hitch when I switch back to my other rig, like my hands forgot how to tie a simple knot. I'm not gonna pretend I'm some smooth operator up there, I've definitely hung there swearing at my mechanical prusik while my groundie waited below. But the descent control is night and day, way less jerky, and I don't feel like I'm fighting my gear the whole way down. I'll keep the prusik for backups, but for removals, the wrench just makes me look less like a rookie.
