Can we talk about how nobody in Portland looks up at the buildings?
I spent 4 days walking around downtown Portland and noticed people stare straight ahead the whole time, even on streets with ironwork from the 1890s above the storefronts. I stopped under one building for maybe 2 minutes to look at it and three people bumped into me. Do you actually look up when you walk somewhere new, or is that just a tourist thing?
