Pro tip: stop filming viral pranks at Bunnings on a Saturday arvo
So I've been making those cheeky Aussie prank videos for about eight months now, mostly filming in car parks and shopping centres around Parramatta, and I thought I had it all figured out. Two weeks ago I posted one where I pretended to trip over a trolley at my local Bunnings on a busy Saturday, and one commenter absolutely torched me. He wrote, and I quote, "mate you're blocking the trade entrance and a bloke with a trailer full of timber nearly cleaned you up, that's not a prank that's a hazard." I sat with that for a bit and realised he was dead right. I went back and rewatched my clips and yeah, I was filming right in the path of people loading up utes and trailers, and you can see a tradie in hi-vis shaking his head in the background of one. Since then I've switched to filming during quiet weekday mornings and I always check the exits first. My views actually went up because people commented that the newer ones look more relaxed and less staged. Anyway, curious if anyone else has copped a comment that made them rethink how they shoot their content?
