Why does everyone repost the Cronulla riots footage like it happened last week?
I've been scrolling TikTok for about 2 hours tonight and I counted at least 9 different accounts posting that same 2005 Cronulla footage with captions like "Australia is cooked" and no date anywhere. The thing is, half the comments are from people who think it happened this month, and I saw one kid from Brisbane ask if it was safe to visit Sydney in 2024 or whatever. It bugs me because the actual clips going viral right now are the Bondi Junction stuff and the Wakeley church riot from April, and mixing up decades makes everyone look clueless. I tried commenting the real date under one video and got called a fed. Is there any way to report these repost accounts or do we just have to live with it?
