Fixed a quarter panel dent in 20 minutes using a bicycle pump and a toilet plunger
Was doing a touch-up in Bakersfield last month when a buddy showed me this trick for a shallow crease, and it worked way better than my $400 stud welder, so has anyone else tried this hack on aluminum panels or is that just asking for more damage?

Try that on aluminum and you might end up with a pancake instead of a panel. Bicycle pump trick works great on steel, but aluminum is a whole different animal, it just stretches and splits if you push too hard. Almost watched a guy turn a fender into a balloon once, then it popped and he had a bigger dent plus a hole to patch. Stick to the plunger method on thin steel and save the aluminum for someone who knows what they're doing, unless you enjoy making things worse for fun. Real question is, who's using a $400 stud welder on a quarter panel anyway, that's like bringing a bazooka to a knife fight.
