Vent: Saw three cars in a row with cracked plastic trim instead of dents
I mean, it hit me that modern cars are built so different now, with all this plastic that just snaps. It feels like half my jobs are just swapping out broken plastic bits instead of fixing metal like before. Are you guys seeing this too, or is it just my area?

Ever notice how even small bumps wreck that trim? Yeah, same here, it's practically most of my repair work now. Honestly it's just cheaper for them to use plastic that we swap than to fix bent metal.

Yeah, I've found that keeping a few common trim pieces in stock saves time. For example, the plastic clips on side skirts always break, so I order them ahead in bulk. A little heat from a hairdryer can help take off old trim without messing up the paint. It's all about working smart with these plastic parts.
