My neighbor in Tucson swore by parking nose-out under a carport, and after a $600 hail repair I'm a believer
She lived there 12 years and said her hood and roof never took a single dent, so when I moved in last spring I flipped my parking habit and my car came through our August storm without a scratch while the truck beside me got pounded, so now I'm wondering if anyone else has tried angling their parking spot to dodge storm damage?

Nose-out saved my hood too, hail just bounces off.
