Why does nobody warn you about the new crimp connectors on Cessna 172 harnesses?
I was helping a younger tech at the hangar in Wichita last Tuesday, and he kept fighting with a terminal strip on a 172. The newer Molex pins just slide out if you don't pinch them at a specific angle, and nobody writes that in the manual. I had to show him the old trick of twisting the wire a quarter turn before seating it. Has anyone else noticed the newer connectors are way less forgiving than the 1990s stuff?

Hardly seems like a CRISIS to me.

Is it though? I mean sure prices are going up but crisis feels like a really strong word for it. People act like we're in some kind of economic collapse but last I checked most folks I know are still buying their avocado toast and going on vacations. I've been hearing about inflation my whole life and we're still here. Maybe it's just me but I feel like if you track your spending and cut out the extras it's not that hard to manage. A lot of the panic seems to come from people who never paid attention to what things cost before anyway. Just feels like another buzzword that gets thrown around when things aren't perfect.

Yeah honestly I used to feel the same way. Before this year I figured it was just hype and people overreacting. But then I saw how fast stuff like ticket prices for concerts and flights went up, like 40% in some cases. My grocery bill went from like $80 a week to $120 for the same stuff. That's not normal. When you actually add up all the small increases it's hard to just call it nothing.
