That cheap paver sand I bought ruined my whole patio project
I grabbed a bag of play sand from the big box store in March for my 12x14 patio, thought it would be fine for setting pavers. Big mistake. By June the joints were washing out and ants moved in, now I'm looking at redoing 40 feet of edge work this weekend. The bag was only $6 but the labor and new materials to fix it are pushing $180 so far. Should I just use polymeric sand this time or is there a better trick to keep it stable? Has anyone else fallen for the cheap sand trap?
