Warning: I rented Birdemic for my birthday party and 14 people left before the eagles showed up
I thought bad acting plus killer birds would be a hit, but the first 40 minutes of stock footage and driving scenes cleared out half the room. Turns out a crowd only sticks around for the weird stuff if you warn them how slow it gets, so what is your go-to opener that keeps people in their seats?

My buddy did the exact same thing with The Room last year and had like 6 people bail during the lame sex scenes lol. He started handing out a little cheat sheet at the door after that, just a paper saying "yes it's bad on purpose, the good stuff starts at minute 50." Crowd stayed way longer once they knew what they were in for.
