Shoutout to my local credit union in Boise for catching a weird Zelle transfer last month
I got a text asking to confirm a $1,200 payment to someone I'd never heard of... they flagged it and froze everything before I even replied. Has your bank ever stopped a scam for you like that?

That "weird Zelle transfer" text is a huge red flag. I always tell my crew to call their bank directly using the number on their card if they get one, never reply to the text. Good on your credit union for actually paying attention.

Honestly, that kind of overreach from a bank would annoy me. It's my money, and a random text should not be enough for them to lock everything down. @dianal94's advice to call is fine, but a freeze feels like they don't trust me to handle my own stuff. Sometimes a weird transfer is just a simple mistake, not a full blown scam.
