The guy in the chair next to me got a mullet fixed and now I keep a level on my clippers
So two weeks ago this dude walks into the shop on 7th in Austin where I rent a chair, and his hair is a disaster, longer on the sides than the top somehow. My buddy Dave was working the next chair over and just went to town on him with a comb and a set of clippers that had a bubble level taped to the top. I laughed at him at first, I really did, but then he explains that after 11 years he got tired of eyeballing flat tops on guys who move their heads around and a $3 level fixed it. He holds the clippers flat, checks the bubble, and just glides, and the fade on that guy came out cleaner than anything I did that day. I ordered one off Amazon that same night and tried it on a regular cut on Tuesday, and yeah, the line at the back of the neck was straighter than my usual. Has anyone else taped a level to their clippers or is Dave just a genius who works next to me?
