A friend told me to ignore the 'algorithm' and just make stuff for a real person...

My buddy Mark, who runs a small bike shop in Austin, said to stop trying to guess what would go viral and just film the one thing I was actually excited about, which was restoring this old, rusty mailbox I found. I posted the 45-minute process, no fancy cuts, just me and some steel wool, and it somehow got picked up by a big DIY account. Has anyone else had a moment where going simple and real worked better than any 'strategy' you tried?

Totally saw an article about that, how raw stuff cuts through the noise. Reminds me of what @robin_roberts84 said about the concert clip. Your buddy Mark was onto something for sure.

A 45-minute video with no cuts?! That's actually wild it did so well.
