One DM from a creator flipped my whole take on going viral

I used to think viral hits were all luck or paid pushes, until a creator with 40k followers replied to my comment about their breakdown video with a screenshot of their analytics showing the first spike came from a niche Facebook group, not an algorithm. They explained they post there first every time and let the community shape the edit before the wide release. Has anyone else seen a small community drive a bigger launch like that?

Survivorship bias is real though. For every one creator who found a magic Facebook group, there's a hundred who posted there and got nothing. They just don't make videos about it.
