Picked a chain tool over a quick link on a customer's 11 speed, and now I'm second guessing myself
Had a guy come in Tuesday with a snapped chain on his Cannondale and I stood there for a minute trying to decide between pressing in a new pin or just dropping a quick link on it. I went with the pin because that's how I was taught, and it held fine on my test ride, but he called back today saying it feels rough in the middle gears. Part of me thinks I should've just used the link and saved us both the hassle. Any of you run into this, and do you press pins on 11 speed stuff or just go straight to a link every time?
