Rebuilt my first set of wheels on a Park stand vs the old bench vice, did I pick right?

Got a TS-2.2 truing stand secondhand for $80 and ditched the zip tied fork trick on my bench vice. Anyone else find the stand shows wobbles you never noticed before, or is it just me?
