That $200 'business coach' I hired just read me a script from a YouTube video

Has anyone noticed how this same thing happens everywhere now, not just with coaches? I went to a tax guy last year who literally googled stuff right in front of me while charging $150 an hour. And my cousin's kid paid $50 for a resume service that just ran their info through a free online template. It's like people realized they can charge for things that take five minutes of copy-paste work, and the worst part is most of them get away with it because we're too polite to call them out in the moment. Your story is really just the latest example of this whole gig economy where information is free but people still pay for it.

Old timer told me to run my end mills dry on aluminum, ruined 3 bits in a row

Worked with aluminum dry on a few builds back in 2019. Never had any sticking issues, just kept the speeds down and it was fine. Maybe it's more about the tooling than the material.

That city council meeting in Kenmore last Tuesday changed how I prep for these things

Maybe it's just me but going in blind keeps me on my toes.

Tried cedar vs pressure-treated for my raised beds last spring

Have you actually tested that side by side with the same variety of tomato or pepper grown in both cedar and pressure treated beds? I tried that once with brandywine tomatoes and the ones from the pressure treated bed were definitely smaller and a little bitter compared to the cedar ones, but maybe it was just my soil that year being off. What kind of stuff are you usually growing in those different setups?

Overheard a guy at REI say 'nobody goes to the Wonderland Trail anymore' and it got me thinking

Last summer I tried to book a Wonderland permit and the site crashed for three hours before everything sold out in 20 minutes. It went from a quiet hike to a total circus practically overnight.
