Switched from Park Tool cable cutters to a cheap angle grinder for housing and never looked back
Used to spend 10 minutes fighting with frayed shift cable ends on each build until I grabbed a $30 Harbor Freight grinder with a cutoff wheel, and now I zip through housing in 30 seconds flat with zero crushed ends - anyone else ditch the fancy tools for something janky that just works?

Bought a cheap grinder myself after my third set of Park Tool cutters ended up looking like I used them on rebar. The look on my buddy's face when I pulled out a grinder for a brake cable was worth every penny. Still can't get the metal shavings out of my shop floor though - that's a problem for future me.
