Binged The Bear in 2 days and it crushed Succession for me

I finally got around to watching The Bear last weekend and I couldn't stop. I burned through both seasons in about 48 hours. I kept seeing people compare it to Succession which I also binged earlier this year. But to me they are not even close to the same level. The Bear has this raw energy that makes you feel like you are right there in that kitchen. The stress is real and the characters actually feel like real people you might know. Succession felt more like watching rich people be miserable in fancy rooms. I know a lot of folks love the Roy family drama but I just couldn't get into it the same way. Has anyone else made the switch and felt The Bear hit harder?

oh man the stress in The Bear is next level. that episode where everything goes wrong during the service and Richie keeps messing up the orders had me literally on edge lol. Succession just felt like watching rich people complain about their problems, but The Bear makes you feel the heat and the chaos. the characters actually talk like real people too, not like they're reading fancy dialogue. Sydney's panic when she burns herself and keeps working is way more relatable than anything Shiv ever does lol.

Wow yeah that's such a good point. I mean it's like how in real life the people who actually have to deal with the daily grind don't have time to be dramatic about it, they just push through cause they have to. The Bear captures that vibe perfectly, where it's not about fancy speeches it's about people trying not to drown in the moment.
