inMy basement floor drain backed up and I thought it was a quick fix
My uncle's old house had a cleanout sealed under a patio slab. When the main line clogged years later, they had to jackhammer the whole concrete pad just to find it. That temporary gas fix created a ten thousand dollar repair bill for the next owner. Sealing it completely ignores the basic fact that pipes fail eventually. A proper threaded plug or even a removable cap would have solved the smell without making the cleanout useless forever.

inPro tip: check your quick release skewers after every wash
Yeah, I've done that. Now I give every lever a little "are you sure?" tap with my palm after a wash. Still feels like trusting a toddler with your car keys sometimes.

inFinally got my polar alignment right after a month of cloudy nights
Congrats on winning the fight against that little circle in the eyepiece. I think my polar scope and I have spent enough quality time together to qualify for couples therapy. Three hours is just the warm-up round for that kind of gear. At least the stars cooperated for your victory lap.

inSpent $800 on a star tracker and it's the best money I ever wasted
Thought it was overkill, but the results won me over.

inThat moment you catch your own rigging mistake mid-lift
Read an article once that called that gut feeling "pattern recognition." Your brain spots something off before you can even say what it is. Pretty wild how often it's right.
