Hit season 4 of Breaking Bad in 11 days and my wife staged an intervention
So I finally caved and started Breaking Bad last month because everyone at my shop wouldn't shut up about it. I figured I'd watch an episode or two after work, no big deal. Fast forward 11 days and I'm on season 4, eating dinner at 11pm on the couch while my wife gives me the look. The thing that got me was the episode where Walt lets Jane die. I literally sat there with my mouth open for 5 minutes and then queued up the next one at 11:45 on a work night. I'm a grown man with a 6am start time and I was still hitting next episode at 1am like a teenager. My wife finally said we need to have a talk about my screen time and I had to admit she was right. I think the binge format changes how these shows hit you, you don't get a week to sit with what happened, you just keep going. Anyone else blow through a whole series way faster than they planned and have to explain themselves to someone?
