Dropped $180 on a "vintage" Peter Wright anvil at a farm auction in Enid and the face is delaminated
The ring sounded dead when I tapped it with a hammer but the auctioneer was yelling so loud I talked myself into it anyway, so does anyone know a shop near Oklahoma City that can weld a new tool steel face on or did I just buy the world's heaviest doorstop?

Oof, that dead ring is the worst sound in the world when you're already handing over cash. Been there on a beat up old Fisher, so I feel your pain, but a good welder can still bring that face back if the body's solid.
