Am I the only one whose game night got ruined by one guy counting cards in Catan?
So we had our usual Friday group at my place in Akron, six of us, and about 40 minutes into Settlers this one dude starts tracking every resource card that gets rolled out loud. I mean calling out stuff like 'that's the last ore in play' before anyone even asked. By turn 20 nobody wanted to trade with him and two people just got up and left. Has anyone else had a game night die like this, and do you actually say something to the guy or just stop inviting him?
Reminds me of the time my cousin brought a spreadsheet to our Monopoly game (he tracked every rent payment, it was insane) and my aunt just flipped the board. Some people treat board games like a math test instead of a chance to hang out. Next time just tell him to chill or game night turns into solo night real quick.
