Learned dice drafting backwards after 60 games of Seasons
Been playing Seasons with my group for about 2 years. Always thought you grab dice in the order you want them. Turns out the draft is supposed to be simultaneous and you pick based on what you think opponents will take. My buddy pointed it out during our Sunday game. Felt like an idiot. 60 games with the wrong rule. Has anyone else played something for that long and missed a core rule?

Dice drafting trips up so many people because the rulebook buries it in a weird spot, so don't feel bad about 60 games. Next time just announce your pick out loud before you grab it, that forces everyone to commit at the same time and kills the confusion fast. We had the same mess with ticket to ride for months until someone actually read the scoring page.
