Pro tip: Using leftover cardboard from game expansions for kindling
I was burning some old paperwork and noticed the pile of expansion box inserts. It struck me how much cardboard we accumulate just for a few new cards. Now I save the clean bits for starting fires in the winter. What's your go-to method for dealing with all that extra packaging?

Wait, seriously? I'm totally against burning that stuff. Some of us actually keep everything together for the complete collection, you know? Those inserts can be perfect for organizing the new cards with the old ones in the original box. Tossing it in the fire feels like trashing part of the game to me.

That cardboard holds dividers pretty well for mixed sets...

Look, games are meant to be played hard, not stored like museum pieces. That insert is just cardboard taking up space the second you mix sets. I've seen rulebooks get coffee stains and boxes get torn during a good game night, that's the real life of a board game. Keeping every scrap for some "complete collection" feels like hoarding, not playing. The fun is in using the stuff, not worrying about keeping it pretty for a shelf.
