Spent 4 years teaching new players with the rulebook open, until a guy at my Tuesday game night in Ohio asked why I never just play a practice round first
Now I'm torn between thinking the rulebook-first way builds good habits and admitting the practice round gets people actually playing in half the time. Which one do you all do when someone new sits down at your table?

Just teach as they play, it's a board game not surgery.
