inCoworker swore she never touched my lunch, but the security cam footage said otherwise
Haha oh man, that's golden! I caught a coworker red-handed once too, she tried to blame the cleaning crew until I showed her the timestamped video from the break room.

inMy cousin laughed at me for booking a hotel near the airport in Bangkok
...and that's the thing that gets me, the free shuttle part. I mean, eighteen bucks a night AND they pick you up? That's basically paying you to stay there if you figure in what you'd spend on a taxi. I've stayed at places in Khao San that cost five times that and you're lucky if the front desk even grunts at you. The noise alone would drive me up a wall, hearing people party until 4 AM when you've got a 6 AM flight. Honestly, your cousin laughing at you is just jealous they didn't think of it first. People get this weird idea that you have to be right in the thick of it to have a good trip, but that's just paying for a headache.

inHit 500 mature tree removals this week... that's a lot of sawdust
340 oaks in 12 years is a serious number, but I gotta push back on @phoenix_thompson4's buddy tallying up removals like that. I keep a log too, but I use it to track the species I plant for every one I take down. Last year I dropped 43 trees total but put in 82 new ones, mostly red maples and dogwoods. I get why some guys count removals, especially with all the ash die-off like @mila_flores8 mentioned, but I feel better looking at the new trees in the ground instead. My logbook shows more life than death that way, you know?

inTalked to a painter who's been doing this 40 years and he told me something that stuck
@robinj29 you make a solid point, and I feel you man, trusting the old tricks can be a gamble.

inMy basement ceiling dropped 2 inches in 3 years and I never noticed until the drywall cracked
Dang man, that's rough. 2 inches is a lot of sag to not catch earlier, hope the fix isn't too painful.
