My uncle called in to our book club meeting and now I have to host a debate about whether that's allowed
We picked 'The Overstory' for September and my uncle couldn't make the drive to my place in Fresno, so he called in on speaker. Three minutes into my cousin's take on the chestnut chapter, my uncle cuts in with 'that's not what the book says, that's what the audio version says' and reads page 213 out loud from his paperback. Turns out the audiobook cut about two paragraphs. Nobody had checked. Now half the club wants a rule that everyone reads the same format and the other half says that kills the whole point of a book club. My aunt is threatening to quit over it. Do you guys enforce a format or do you just let chaos win?
