Warning: my club spent 45 minutes fighting over one scene and nobody brought notes
Last Tuesday at our meetup in the back room of a cafe in Boise, we were supposed to wrap the discussion in an hour. One member, Dana, kept cutting people off to argue that the author was secretly writing a sequel setup, and she had zero pages flagged to back it up. It turned into a shouting match over a single paragraph on page 114, and two people left early. If your club lets members argue pure vibes with no quotes or notes, it kills the whole thing. Do you all have a rule about showing your work, or does it just happen to you too?
