My aunt in Phoenix shared a 'missing child' photo last week and I spotted the same kid in 3 different posts
I was scrolling Facebook at my kitchen table last Tuesday when my aunt in Phoenix shared a post about a missing 7 year old boy. Something felt off so I did a reverse image search and found the exact same photo in posts from Ohio, Florida, and Texas, each one with a different name and story. The original was a stock photo from a 2014 news story in Canada. I sent my aunt the link and she took it down in about 10 minutes. Turns out the page that posted it was only 2 weeks old and had 40 other sob story posts just like it. How do you all check these before sharing? I feel like I got lucky with the image search but there has to be a faster way.
