My cousin swore his cactus was fake because it never grew
He bought a saguaro from a roadside stand in Arizona 3 years ago and kept it in his basement office with no windows. He called me last week, totally serious, asking where to buy a 'real one' because this plastic one was collecting dust. I had to explain over FaceTime that plants generally need light. Has anyone else had to give a basic botany lesson to a grown adult?

Honestly it's wild how many people just forget that plants are alive. Like they treat them like furniture that never needs anything.
