My fern went from lush to scraggly after moving it by the window in March

I had a Boston fern thriving in the corner of my living room in Portland, so I shifted it near the east window to get more light, and within 6 weeks the fronds started browning at the tips and dropping. Could it be the colder draft at night or the sudden change in sun exposure that did it? Has anyone else seen ferns react this fast to a simple relocation?
