Went to my first city council meeting in Bothell just to complain about a pothole on 228th and left signed up for the sidewalk committee
I showed up with a photo of the crater that ate my hubcap and a two minute speech ready, but the parks guy mentioned the sidewalk gap near the school and suddenly I am handing over my email. Now I get 4 newsletters a week and I actually read them. Anyone else go to one meeting mad and end up on some random committee?

Did you really think you could just show up, say your piece, and leave? I went to one meeting about a stop sign and now I'm somehow on the tree board.
