Pro tip: check your quick release skewers after every wash

I was finishing a tune up on a customer's gravel bike, a Trek Checkpoint, and gave it a quick rinse in the wash bay. The front wheel dropped out when I lifted the bike, because the QR lever had been bumped open just enough during washing. It happened fast, and the fork ends got a small scratch. How do you guys make sure QR levers stay fully closed and seated after cleaning a bunch of bikes in a row?
