I finally found a use for those old brick samples I've been hoarding
Was cleaning out my garage last weekend and found like 50 sample bricks from different jobs over the years. Ended up using them as decorative edging around my flower beds at my house on Maple Street. Has anyone else repurposed leftover samples for something useful?

Decorative edging around my flower beds" - so you basically made a brick museum for your garden? Thats pretty clever actually. Ive got a pile of tile samples from my bathroom reno and now I'm thinking about making coasters out of them lol. Or maybe just a really ugly mosaic table. Those sample bricks must weigh a ton though, hope your flower beds foundation is stronger than my DIY skills.

Has anyone else noticed how home improvement projects just turn into art projects once all the materials pile up? I swear my garage is half "future projects" and half "things that looked better in my head," like those coasters would probably end up looking like a drunk kindergartner made them. It's funny how we all start with one plan and end up with something completely different, but honestly that's what makes it fun.

Oh totally, the garage becomes this weird art studio slash storage unit for our wildest ideas lol. But wait, I gotta say you mentioned making coasters out of tile samples which is genius but those tiles are probably ceramic or porcelain, not the same as those heavy brick samples Kelly was talking about. They'd actually work great for coasters since they're flat and you can get them cut at a hardware store if you want them square. The drunk kindergartner look is basically the whole charm of DIY though, my "coasters" look like someone gave a toddler a glue gun and said good luck.
