Just crossed $50 a week on groceries for a single person and that shocked me
I moved to a new city last month and figured I'd be spending like $80 a week on food for myself, but I've been averaging exactly $47 for three weeks now. That's with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a couple snacks, no eating out. Anyone else tracking their totals and seeing way less than they expected?

I read somewhere that grocery prices can vary a ton just based on which store you hit in a new city. Makes sense your $47 is holding steady, might just be the luck of the draw with your local spots.

Drive that point home - it's not just about which chain you go to but which neighborhood that store sits in. Hit a store in a bougie part of town and the prices jump 10-15% on the same stuff you'd get cheaper in a working class area. Scouting two or three different stores in the same city is the real key, not just picking one and sticking with it.
