Watch a good cook turn those plain ingredients into something amazing. @dylanfisher, a potato can be crispy fries, creamy mashed, or a solid roast, and onions build the flavor base for like half of all good meals. Calling them tragic is like calling a plain brick useless, ignoring the whole house you can build with it. Compared to stuff like plain rice or unseasoned beans, potatoes and onions are the exciting part of the pantry.
